NHTSA Complaint #11593631 — 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that after several attempts the vehicle was able to be restarted. The contact stated that days later the vehicle stalled again and was towed to a Honda Service Center where the vehicle was diagnosed with fuel pump failure due to the fuel injectors being worn. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.
