NHTSA Complaint #11592365 — 2023 NISSAN ROGUE

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that she noticed that in the spare trunk compartment, a tear gas device was installed and welded into the vehicle by the FBI. The owner placed foil over the device. Additionally, a device containing sarin gas was placed in the vehicle by an unknown source. The contact stated that she had experienced a nosebleed and dizziness due to the devices, and medical attention was provided. The contact stated that an outside source deflated the tires and was able to shut down and accelerate the vehicle using a chip in the key fob, causing her to crash into the sidewalk. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire or air bag deployment. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
