NHTSA Complaint #11591017 — 2018 GENESIS G80

The contact owns a 2018 Genesis G80. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V107000 (Electrical System) and 24V191000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken for routine maintenance; however, upon leaving the repair center, while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an alarm followed by the engine overheating. The vehicle was able to be restarted; however, the vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair.
