Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, the transmission experienced hard shifting while shifting into lower gears. Additionally, on several occasions, the transmission disconnected causing the vehicle the lose motive power and decelerate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission CDF Drum was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact also indicated that a loud noise was present when starting the vehicle due to a faulty engine cam phaser. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 102,500.
