NHTSA Complaint #11584809 — 2019 FORD ECOSPORT

The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on three separate occasions, the vehicle stalled after the warning light illuminated. The vehicle was restarted on all three occasions after sitting for approximately 20 minutes but started losing motive power. Additionally, the contact observed an abnormal gasoline odor in the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
