The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that before the vehicle stalling he heard an abnormal ticking noise coming from the engine compartment. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The contact drove the vehicle back to the same dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the cam phasers needed to be replaced. The contact researched online and related the failure to the manufacturer's Customer Satisfaction Program: 21N03 Cam Phaser Replacement (Engine). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 48,381.
