The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the emergency automatic braking independently engaged. The contact stated that the vehicle did not stop however, there was an excessively hard jerk that occurred. The vehicle was driven to the destination without the failure reoccurring. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.
