NHTSA Complaint #11568042 — 2022 JEEP COMPASS

On [XXX] I left the Safeway Gas station on [XXX] I came out the parking lot and made a right and stopped at the light. As soon as I stopped, my car cut off. I put my car and park and push the ignition. I press the ignition again to cut it on everything came on but the car would not start. I sat there for two hours before getting a tow at the stop light that changed colors several different times with my anxiety high because cars were honking, people were yelling at me because I was blocking traffic. I could not put my car into a different gear to even push it off to the side of the road. My car was towed to Sacramento Dodge Chrysler Jeep. Later that day, The representative called and told me that they don’t know what is wrong with the car, he’s never seen this happen before and that my car would qualify as a lemon. I’ve placed a request for Jeep to buy back my car the first one was denied, the case manager resubmitted the request and I’ve heard nothing after being told I would be called in 3-4 business days. I’ve called them several times and I’m not hearing anything back. Also, I was not aware of the recall on my car until I came in for the issue on this day.
