Consumer Description

While driving uphill, the car lost power, beginning to spurt and stalling. Then the car was not able to accelerate while car kept spurting and stopping. It was a dangerous situation as this happened while we were driving, in the middle of the road, while going uphill. Thankfully it was at night and there were no cars behind us but if there was we would have clashed into it. Towed the vehicle to the dealership and was informed that the same year TUCSON came in the night before with similar problems. It appears that there is a pattern to this safety concern. Please take action before someone gets hurt. Car shutting off like this while driving poses safety concerns for drivers and all the people around it. Even with fix, I don't feel safe driving unless I see actions taken by Hyundai to solve this apparent issue with powertrain/engine.
