Consumer Description

The car had a problem where it will not start because the stater grinds. Honda knows about the problem and won’t do a recall instead they charged me to have the remove the engine. Install a new torque converter and starter. They said the factory had a bad batch of torque converters. And quite a few cars were affected by this problem. Seems ridicules that a problem they k ow about with a part quality is the problem of the consumer. It’s about $3400 for each person that has to deal with this. The way the starter stays engaged and just grinds it could easily cause a fire.
