NHTSA Complaint #11547861 — 2014 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

On multiple occasions while driving, I have felt my transmission slip, reducing the speed of the vehicle and at a stand still, made a pounding noise when switching into gear, and at times I hear a click. I have reported this to Bob Boyd Lancaster (place of purchase) on the first occasion and I was told it was typical for this vehicle to behave that way because it has 12 (or 8) gears. After my transmission slipped again while driving I brought the vehicle in and was informed that it could not be duplicated. I experienced another transmission slip and took it to Jeff Wyler (closer travel). When I returned home I noticed transmission fluid in my garage and reported it. They indicated that I had a bad seal - pending repair - long delay in warranty coverage response (Ford dealership warranty), and now awaiting parts. Days later I experienced another transmission slip and this time I was able to record it on video (unable to upload on this submission) and sent this to the Jeff Wyler. The Ford Warranty only wants to replace the seal and 1 quart of transmission fluid, and not fix the problem or cover the recommended services indicated by the dealership.
