NHTSA Complaint #11547766 — 2017 FORD FOCUS

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle began to jerk and jolted before losing motive power. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure had since become a regular occurrence. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the canister purge valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
