NHTSA Complaint #11547721 — 2018 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle was slow to respond or stop. The ABS and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the hydraulic control unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired under the warranty, but the failure recurred. The service electronic stabili-trak message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; there was a hard code retrieved: COO2O-O1; related to the ABS pump motor control. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 21,477.
