Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2020 Ford EcoSport. The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling, the vehicle stalled with the check engine warning light illuminated. On another occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the RPM fell, and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that occasionally, several attempts were needed to start the vehicle. The contact stated that the instrument panel displayed a message that the emissions control system had detected a restricted fuel vapor tube. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who replaced the engine however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 66,000.
