NHTSA Complaint #11545659 — 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the fuel lines and filter. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who diagnosed an additional failure with the fuel injectors. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel), and the VIN was included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact was informed that parts for the recall repair were not yet available and that the failure was not related to the recall. The failure mileage was 140,000.
