NHTSA Complaint #11541118 — 2023 CHRYSLER PACIFICA

The contact rented a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and stopped in traffic, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact shifted the transmission into park(P) and attempted to shift back into drive(D); however, the transmission failed to respond. The contact restarted the vehicle and the vehicle responded. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000. The VIN was not available.
