NHTSA Complaint #11538429 — 2016 FORD FUSION

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that his wife was about to drive the vehicle however, when she closed the front driver's side door, the door failed to latch securely. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where, it was diagnosed that the front driver's side door latch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact the vehicle was not covered under NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V177000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 69,669.
