Consumer Description

The exhaust pipe and muffler developed a hole in both exhaust components at less than 32k miles. This is a known design issue for the model as a previous model year had a special coverage adjustment on 03/2022 [XXX] . It is apparent this is a design flaw that wasn't fixed for the 2020 model year. GM has only offered 50% of repair costs. I am requesting the NHTSA to open review of exhaust failure for the 2020 model year of Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Cadillac XT6 that are equipped with the 3.6 liter V6 engine.
