NHTSA Complaint #11537670 — 2020 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2020 Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH and towing a 2,500-pound trailer loaded with a 9,000-pound vehicle in hot weather, the MIL warning light illuminated and the message "Service DEF System - See Dealer" was displayed intermittently. Several unknown dealers were notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in Manufacturer Campaign Number: ZD4. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance since the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.
