Consumer Description

The glue that holds the plastic covers on the aluminum wheels has failed and two of the plastic covers have fallen off. The covers and wheels are available for inspection. The one cover fell off while driving down a local main road in our city. When I saw it fall off, I returned to the area where it was laying in the street to retrieve it. Before retrieving it I saw some cars swerve to miss it and at least one run it over. If this happened on the freeway at higher speeds who knows what could have occurred and therefore I have since removed the remaining two covers that were still attached. One seemed rather loose and was likely to fall off sooner than latter and other was still adhered rather well. No inspection occurred by the manufacturer as this appears to be a common problem with these plastic covers. To reattach them to the wheels it appears that the gluing system is proprietary. No warning lamps or messages present.
