The contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH, during which he fell asleep as he was returning home from a Dialysis appointment, he rear-ended another vehicle that was at the stop light, and the air bag did not deploy. The contact was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a fractured chest. The contact stated that a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a collision center. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,495.
