NHTSA Complaint #11534673 — 2007 GMC ACADIA

The contact owned a 2007 GMC Arcadia. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving at 45 MPH, the contact's daughter heard an abnormal grinding noise and inadvertently smoke came from underneath the front hood of the vehicle and the vehicle was in flames. The local fire department arrived at the scene of the fire and distinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence, however, the vehicle was not yet been inspected for damages. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN information was unavailable.
