Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER ENTERED INTO THE REAR WINDOW CONTROL BUTTON AND THE CHECK ENGINE AND COOLANT INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN AND THE TENSIONER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 157,000.
