Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle inadvertently downshifted and the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull over on the side of the road and shut off the vehicle. The contact restarted the vehicle and the vehicle operated normally. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not under warranty and referred the contact to contact the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 135,000.
