NHTSA Complaint #11525007 — 2018 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500

The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while stopped at a stop light, the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the vehicle failed to respond. The check engine warning light and the service stabili-trak warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to notify the manufacturer of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000.
