NHTSA Complaint #11524642 — 2014 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds and making a left turn, the steering wheel and brakes became inoperable. The vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the contact was provided the diagnostic test cost, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V414000 (Steering). The manufacturer was contacted but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
