NHTSA Complaint #11523312 — 2020 JEEP GLADIATOR

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the transmission started slipping. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V116000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer confirmed that the parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the clutch assembly needed to be replaced. Additionally, two transmission mount bolts were missing, and one driveshaft bolt was fractured. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,624.
