NHTSA Complaint #11522603 — 2018 RAM 2500

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS warning light illuminated. Additionally, there was a continuous abnormal dinging sound every 30 seconds. The contact stated that the cruise control was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the hydraulic control unit had caused the failure. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer who stated that the parts were previously on backorder, but the vehicle was repaired several months later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,500.
