Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-350. The contact stated that when the transmission lever was shifted into reverse, the vehicle inadvertently shifted into drive. The brake pedal was immediately depressed, and the vehicle stopped. Additionally, the transmission warning light was illuminated prior to the failure. The contact stated that the internal code was reset a several times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact stated that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 87,000.
