Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated while her husband was driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal noise before the vehicle stalled. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The driver was able to restart the vehicle and continue driving to the residence. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 136,000.
