Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated upon noticing a trail of fluid leak in the driveway, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the transmission was leaking. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the transfer case was leaking fluid. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.
