Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated and flashing. While driving at an unknown speed, the engine misfired and the vehicle was chugging. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the powertrain control module (PCM) needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 113,659.
