NHTSA Complaint #11499970 — 2014 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the passenger’s and driver’s side rear doors failed to close as needed with the door ajar message displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the doors would independently open after being closed. The vehicle was serviced under an unknown recall; however, as the failure persisted, the contact was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 136,000.
