NHTSA Complaint #11497860 — 2016 CHEVROLET TAHOE

Near collision with pedestrian in crosswalks on left turns and near collision with pedestrians crossing multi lane roads who entering from a landscaped center island. I have repeatedly experienced this situation even though I am acutely aware of the view obstruction created by the large A-pillar, air bag and drivers side mirror. It has become evident from the incidents in my neighborhood that trucks and SUV's are involved in the fatalities at crosswalks and multi lane roadways. An recent fatality occurred on December 10 2022 in Poway at the intersection of Midland and Edgmoore Rd. 35yr old women killed in crosswalk by driver making left turn. The January 24th 2022 fatality happened on Community Rd. in Poway 92064. It would appear your forms are incident focused and not geared to identify safety hazards that have not been considered.
