NHTSA Complaint #11496373 — 2020 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2020 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and idling, the vehicle inadvertently rolled forward without warning. The vehicle rolled forward and pinned his brother to the front driver’s side box located at the opening of the garage door. Medical attention was required. The contact’s brother was later declared deceased. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer nor the dealer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
