NHTSA Complaint #11492284 — 2019 RAM 3500

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, a vibration was felt and heard coming from the front passenger’s side wheel area. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer for routine services, the contact made the mechanic aware of the failure; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that after he left the dealer, he felt a vibration coming from the front passenger’s side wheel area as the tire pressure warning light illuminated. After the contact pulled over, he noticed the front passenger’s side tire was damaged and had a significant amount of tread coming out. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to replace the tire. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for replacement of the rear end due to an unknown recall and the contact made them aware of the failure again; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that after changing the front passenger’s side tire three previous times and the wheel bearing, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15.
