Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2022 Indian Super Chief. The contact stated while driving at 15 MPH, the motorcycle emitted an abnormal shushing sound. Additionally, there was a 5 feet-stopping distance delay when depressing the brake pedal. The contact continued driving, however, the abnormal sounds increased significantly. The contact veered to the side of the road and inspected the vehicle. The contact noticed that the rear brake caliper had detached and was hanging due to the rear brake caliber upper bolt missing. The vehicle was towed the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake caliper had failed to cause the upper bolt to back out. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a safety report review. The failure mileage was approximately 140. The consumer requested the claim to be closed because all issues were resolved and dealt with between the dealer and manufacturer.
