NHTSA Complaint #11490617 — 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE

The contact stated that while driving at various low speeds and coming to a stop at a stop signal or while attempting to park the vehicle, the brake pedal failed to respond. The contact stated that excessive force was needed to depress the brake pedal. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control); however, the failure reoccurred and was more frequent. The vehicle was not taken back to the dealer or to an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 146,000.
