NHTSA Complaint #11489757 — 2015 NISSAN ROGUE

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed with the accelerator depressed. The contact stated that the engine revved; however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the service engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that after one failure the vehicle failed to restart. The contact smelled an abnormal burning odor and pulled over to allow the vehicle to cool down before continuing to drive. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who advised that the vehicle could not be diagnosed since there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 185,000.
