Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the brakes failed to operate as needed upon depression with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with a defective brake control dynamic system. The contact was referred to the dealer where they confirmed the failure and provided her with an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer had yet to be notified about the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 155,000.
