NHTSA Complaint #11483504 — 2015 FORD MUSTANG

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the contact stated that when the vehicle was shifted in reverse position, the rearview camera displayed a blank or distorted screen without warning. As a result, almost caused an accident. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the parts to do the repair were unavailable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that parts were unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.
