Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2017 Honda Pilot. The contact initially noticed that a water leak had developed from the passenger’s side of the windshield. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer where they determined that the leak had come from a crack on the driver’s side of the windshield. The contact was then given an estimate for the repair. The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who refuted the dealers claims and determined that the the cause of failure was due to a manufacturing defect. The contact discovered a 1-inch gap between the sheet metal and the roof at the top of the passenger’s side windshield. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.
