NHTSA Complaint #11477379 — 2013 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer for recall repair under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System). However, three days after the recall repair had been completed, the check engine warning light illuminated while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) had failed. The contact stated that he had not experienced any failures with the vehicle prior to the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
