Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2022 Isuzu NRR commercial vehicle. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the ignition switch was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 30 MPH, several unknown warning lights illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The driver was able to veer to the side of the road. The driver was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and test-driven. The dealer informed the contact that upon test driving the vehicle, they could not duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled for a second time while driving. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who test drove the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that upon test driving the vehicle, they could not duplicate the failure. However, the OBD reader indicated that the vehicle had lost connection with the Engine Control Unit (ECU). The regional manager was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was not a known failure and that the loss of connection with the Engine Control Unit (ECU) could not be the cause of the failure. The regional manager also informed the contact had to pay out of pocket for a continuous investigation of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 9,744.
