NHTSA Complaint #11467714 — 2020 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2020 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the front driver’s side door failed to open after several attempts. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the front driver’s side window failed to operate as needed. The contact called the local dealer and was referred to an authorized Ford body shop for assistance. The contact was informed that several door hinges had fractured inside the front driver’s side door causing the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
