NHTSA Complaint #11459565 — 2011 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact did not notice any warning lights illuminated. The contact pulled over safely and stopped and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled again however, she was able to drive the vehicle to her residence. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
