Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The brake light warning light was illuminated. In addition, the brake overheating warning message was displayed. The contact stated that in order to turn the brake light off, he had to use his foot to lift the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised him that it could be multiple causes. The contact stated he then contacted the manufacturer who advised he would have to pay out of pocket for repair. The failure mileage was 117,000.
