The contact stated that while driving at 20-25 MPH, the vehicle in front of him slammed on the brakes. causing his vehicle to crash into the rear-end of the other vehicle. The contact stated that the front driver's side air bag deployed but was not inflated. The passenger's side air bag did not deploy. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was unable to continue to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The contact later sought medical assistance and was informed that he had sustained fractured ribs. The contact was unsure whether a police report was filed. The dealer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.
