The manufacturer was contacted and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V373000 (Electrical System, Air Bags) even though the manufacturer had linked the failure to the recall. The contact stated that the vehicle would turn off with the slightest touch while the key was in the ignition. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000.
