NHTSA Complaint #11445948 — 2017 HONDA CR-V

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while parked at his residence, he went to change gears in his vehicle, and the gear shift was unable to shift. The contact stated that the piece that is attached to the gear shift had suddenly broken off The contact stated that he had to manually pair the broken peace to the gear shift in order to change gears. The contact stated that he contacted the dealer and he was advised that there were no recalls on his vehicle ,however there has been several complaints about the same failure on other vehicles, same year, make, and model. The contact stated he has not contacted the manufacture at this time. The contact stated he will be getting his vehicle repaired ,however he is concerned that he could experience the failure while driving the vehicle. The mileage failure was 40,000.
